Dear Joe Morin, my feelings on this movie are so conflicted I've decided to write a letter to myself to make sense of them. Normal people might call that a “review.” Get on with it. Sincerely, me. I'm just glad to see Hollywood is making one not called “Indiana Jones”... All aboard for Disney's latest adventure film based on a ride I've never been on! After infuriating fans in 2013 with Iron Man 3's version of “The Mandarin”, Marvel makes a whole movie to apologize. Item two on their agenda: tweak their formula by focusing on martial arts action. And lastly: introduce a bunch of new lore to the MCU. Did they succeed at any of these things? Read on to find out... Judas and The Black Messiah is a true story of betrayal, espionage, and political upheaval. And it's a timely tale for our modern world. I wish history like this was more common knowledge, but I'd rather learn through arts and entertainment than never at all! Read on for my thoughts...
